Step 1: Get Your Expenses Organized
It sounds like such a simple task. And for most people, it is! But for business owners, it can be difficult to keep track of all the paperwork you need to make sure your cash flow stays intact after taxes. Before you calculate your taxes, make sure you have all your data ready to go. As with all success, you need to be proactive. Try an electronic filing system you find online in addition to keeping a file folder somewhere in your office.

Ongoing education is of course another way entrepreneurs learn how to be more effective managers. Make it a point to regularly attend business conferences in your local area. Even if the speakers are not from your industry, many of the concepts and tools are transferable — what works in one industry will also be helpful to business owners in another. Going back to school for additional training doesn’t mean having to drive to a college or university and participate in a classroom setting. A sometimes overlooked way of gaining practical business knowledge is to simply keep your eyes open and observe how people you purchase goods and services from conduct their business. You not only see what they do right, but where they are not meeting the expectations of their customers — including you. Pay attention to:

Many businesses are still continuing to see the consistent advances of the computer checks as well as software programs such as Peach-tree and QuickBooks. These are software programs that allow the manager of the office to make their accounting programs simply write a check and easily print it through their office’s laser printer and mail it through a matching business envelope.

When a business chose to use these computer business checks, it will make them save a lot of effort and time and good thing about this also is that it creates lesser errors when it comes to their accounting. Upon choosing and investing an accounting program such as QuickBooks for the registration of your checks, you will be able to gain the ability of entering the bills from the vendors, also, to decide whether your want to print the check or not.

1. Come up with an idea based on your interests, skills and experiences. List everything you already know and mark those areas with potential money-making ability and a market for what you will offer. The most successful businesses see a need and then fill it.
2. Conduct a mini market survey. Find at least five potential customers and seek their opinions on your micro business idea. Ask them:
3. Plan your expenses including how much money you will need to start. Think through these questions: Many micro business owners need no start-up money at all because they use what they already own, such as a computer, a lawnmower, or their brains. In India most of the business owners confuse among the related terms of marketing. This is due to little or no awareness of what marketing is. Sales and marketing means the same thing to most people in India. You will notice that a majority of Indian companies call their sales persons as marketing professionals. Till recently, with protected markets and an economy controlled by licenses, the Indian market was a seller’s market. Companies were not required to do marketing.
